The students from all schools were asked to take part in a barrier quiz. With 3 students getting 5 out of 7 questions correct it goes to sudden death!!!

The Springfields Olympics Opening Ceremony
The Springfields Olympics
This first, great, big, event started on 26 June with the Junior Olympics, lasting two days until 27 June, which features the Senior Olympics.
200 people will take part in 5 events and 6 schools compete in one big event, hosted by the Springfields academy and St Mary’s School and Calne Leisure Centre.
Mr Lloyd, Head of PE and Mrs Wishart, Head of Specialism, have organised this event.
The first day began with the opening ceremony where athletes took the Olympic oath before going to their individual events.
The events are: table tennis, basketball, swimming, athletics and BMXing.

Mr Hobden, PE teacher at SPringfields said that “the day is ace, exciting and amazing, especially as we are using many facilities in Calne.”

With water, wind and smells the 4D experience was amazing. Great start to the London Eye experience.

Well it’s the 2nd day of the climate change conference and we have arrived safe and sound at the London Eye.
Drive here was good and weather is even better.
