International Arts Day

The inaugural Springfields International Arts Day took place on the 29th and 30th March and was a huge success. For many of our children and staff it was a journey beyond expectation! Workshops included Chinese dance, Steel Pan, Thai Kickboxing, Sculpture, Life drawing and cookery; students created some beautiful food from around the world. Some of our students excelled in parts of the Arts they hadn’t tried before. Amongst the outstanding students of the day were: Ross Vugts for cooking, Corey Overend in the Mask/drama workshop, Jamie Bradley for Sculpture, Luke Jones for life drawing, Caitlin Webb in the Thai Kick boxing workshop, Ethan Moore for break dancing, Will Davis for song writing, Sian Balmforth in the Chinese dance workshop and Cameron Moore in the Steel Pan workshop. Well done to all our students for participating and for being so positive about the event.

The enriching variety of activities laid the foundations for future events. Thankyou to all the wonderful artists who helped to make the day possible.
