Inaugural Charity Ball

Our Inaugural Charity Ball, held on Saturday June 19th was a resounding success.

Scott Quinnell, International Rugby Star and Sky TV presenter gave an inspirational talk about how he has dealt with his own special needs as a child and how the DORE programme helped him overcome dyslexia and dyspraxia.

Half of the money raised on the night has been donated to support the DORE Foundation and the other half to support the Children’s Hospice South West, two fabulous charities that we, as a school fully support.

The auction of promise was a huge success and a big thank you goes out to those who donated the fabulous prizes.

The original band members from the smash hit film ‘The Commitments’  concluded what was an incredible  and positive  fun-filled evening.

A sincere thank you to all staff and Calne community members that supported the evening.

Next year’s event is already shaping up to be another great charity fund-raising event.
