AG&T Royal Agriculture college Trip

On 22nd-25th March 2 students from Springfields joined 29 other students from 11 North Wiltshire Schools to participate in an Able, Gifted and Talented residential course at the Royal agricultural College in Cirencester. The aim of the course was to enhance communication, social and presentation skills. Students were engaged in numerous tasks to strength their skills such as an Apprentice type challenge, orienteering skills and SWOT analysis of themselves. All students were taken out of their comfort zones and really made to work hard with their day beginning at 9 am and finishing at 11.30pm. The event was amazing, with all students really enjoying themselves but also taking away new or improved skills. George Dolman was a superstar and was part of the Apprentice winning team meaning he was ‘hired’! Special mention must go to Emma Thomas from the Royal Agricultural College for putting on such a busy, challenging but fun event. And finally, well done to all students who took part.

To be considered as ‘Able, Gifted and Tallented’ is indeed an achievment on its own but it is clear that our two Springfileds representatives not only managed to hold their own with other young people but showed that determination and commitment to bring them up to the standard of the very best.

    We done and congratulations
